Enhance your skills in working with American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters in ambulatory settings. Explore advanced strategies for effective collaboration, including interpreter scheduling, successful telehealth strategies, and understanding the limitations of Video Remote Interpreting. Gain insights into Deaf cultural values and the qualities of a Deaf-friendly healthcare provider. Prior completion of "An Introduction to Working with ASL Interpreters in Healthcare Settings" is recommended.

Objectives:

1. Describe at least three best practices for efficient scheduling and collaboration with ASL interpreters in ambulatory settings to optimize communication with Deaf patients.
2. Explain successful strategies for conducting telehealth visits with ASL interpreters, ensuring effective communication and quality care for Deaf patients.
3. Articulate the limitations associated with Video Remote Interpreting and the use of ad hoc interpreters, enabling healthcare professionals to make informed decisions when utilizing these methods.
